Dr. Aleksei Takenouchi:
Piano playing is not just playing notes. Then, it is similar to typing on a computer keyboard. Music is much, much more. Being able to trace my musical roots to Beethoven, I have been fortunate to have known and studied with many renowned musicians. In addition to music, I have studied various internal martial arts disciplines which I have incorporated into my piano teaching techniques by using specific hand movements to facilitate playing as well as improve performance. Music is a spiritual as well as physical discipline. Do not hesitate on your quest for improvement.
